Description

FOR SALE ON ETSY: www.etsy.com/listing/73167284/… CONTACT ME to purchase, cannot sell on Etsy anymore.

My first dreamcatcher using real fur.

Loop is made of grapevine, weave is waxed linen. All beads but the white one are glass - the white one is wood.

Feathers are turkey (gifted to me by an acquaintance several years ago). Fur, I'm almost certain, is black bear - I bought it as craft scraps and the person I bought it from couldn't remember for sure. It's definitely the right color and texture, and the skin is thick enough.

The bone is also from a bear, but I couldn't tell you what specific species - this was also scrap, bought from :iconzhon: in one of her cleaning events where she tossed random stuff in a box and you pretty much paid shipping and got a mystery box o' taxidermy scraps.

**Before anybody tries to flame over this, all animal parts were obtained as scrap. They would otherwise probably have been thrown away. I consider it more respectful to the animal not to let these things go to waste.**

*******************************************

Big friggin edit: HOKAI so Etsy has changed their policies and apparently you can't sell anything with bear parts there anymore (I assume since a lot of states ban ownership of bear parts even if obtained in a state where hunting them is legal - though they didn't ban wolf and that has the same deal so I dunno) so I'm posting it here instead.

From the listing info:

I wanted to create a dreamcatcher for those who feel connected to the Bear as both living animal and symbol.

**This dreamcatcher uses real fur.**

The bone is also from a bear, but I couldn't tell you what specific species - this was also scrap, bought from a taxidermist who doesn't like to let "unwanted" items go to waste.

**Please note that all animal parts were obtained as scrap material. I consider it more respectful to the animal's memory not to let these things go to waste.**

Loop measures approximately 17" at the longest point, and 5" at the widest.

**Due to the fact that this item contains real animal parts, I will not ship outside the US. If you are in the US, please make sure it is legal for you to possess parts of this type of animal in your state.**
