James found me some watercolors in a tube a while back, so I decided to try them out on some abstract art, since I've been wanting to paint but don't know WHAT to paint lately. This was the first thing that came out.

I've tried to get the colors to look as close to the real thing as possible, at least on my screen - my scanner sort of "greys out" everything so it took some tweaking to match the paper.

I would call this a depiction of my sort of "default emotion" - not totally happy, but semi-calm with a few traces of anxiety here and there.

I have made this wallpaper sized and am actually allowing this one for download since I figure some people may like it as a desktop background for their computer (please do not use as an art background without my prior permission). I will add that though I scanned it in the way I painted it, if you flip it around different ways, it seems to alter the emotion of the piece. I'm only uploading this version, but feel free to play around. I almost think it look happier upside-down.
